Our Story
Under the direction of a volunteer board of directors working with professional staff and volunteers, the Eastern Iowa Branch works to raise money to support JDRF’s mission: To find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
Our Fundraising Events
Walk to Cure: The first Eastern Iowa Walk to Cure Diabetes in 1999 raised over $150,000, one of the largest first Walks in the country.
Thechapter now holds Walks in Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Quad Cities and Muscatine.
Eastern Iowa Promise Gala: The Promise Gala features exciting live and silent auctions, elegant dining, and fabulous entertainment.
Ride to Cure: 2013 Ride Locations: Burlinton, VT, LaCrosse, Wi, Lake Lahoe, CA, Nashville,TN, Death Valley, CA and Tucson, AZ.

The Eastern Iowa Chapter is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowaand encompasses35 counties in Iowa& Illinois.
Iowa: Allamakee, Benton, Black Hawk, Buchanan, Cedar, Chickasaw, Clayton, Delaware, Des Moines, Dubuque, Fayette, Henry, Howard, Iowa, Jackson, Johnson, Jones, Lee, Linn, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott, Washington, and Winneshiek.
Illinois: Bureau, Carroll, Henderson, Henry, Jo Daviess, Knox, Bureau,Mercer, Rock Island, Warren, and Whiteside.
