How to Get Involved with the 2013 Walk to Cure:
You can participate by asking your friends, family, co-workers, etc. to join you on a Walk team. Here are a few simple steps on how to form your own team.1. Designate a Team Captain. This person will receive information about the Walk from JDRF to communicate to your team.
2. Recruit Walkers to join your team.
3. Register online. It is an easy way to collect donations and track your team’s fundraising.
You can register at walk.jdrf.org by clicking on the State in which Walk you will be participating in.
4. Finally, you can begin your fundraising. The national average a Walker will raise is $100. Ask ten people for $10 and you’ve raised your first $100!
