Cedar Valley

2014 Walk to Cure Diabetes

Saturday February 15, 2014

Crossroads Center

Waterloo, Iowa

Registration: 7:30am

Walk Start: 9:00am

With less than a month until Walk date, the Cedar Valley Walk Committee has done a fantastic job of preparing, which I believe, will be the best JDRF Walk in it’s 7 year existence.  This year, the Cedar Valley Walk to Cure Diabetes has more than doubled it’s sponsorship from last year!  We have also made it our goal to make this Walk, not only fun, but also educational.  Walkers at the Cedar Valley Walk will have the opportunity to grab a passport at Check-in and then start their adventure to places like Encapsulation Lake, Smart Insulin Metropolis, Artificial Pancreas Islands, Restoration Mountain and Outreach Cave.  At these places, they will learn about T1D research and get their Passports stamped by the volunteer at these locations.  Once they had visited all of the locations, they will turn in their Passports for an opportunity to win 4 tickets to a Kansas City Royals game this summer, thanks to our generous friends from Hy-Vee.

There is still time to register for the Cedar Valley Walk to Cure Diabetes in Waterloo, IA on February 15th.  Go to walk.jdrf.org and sign up today…..this is a Walk that you do not want to miss.

Special thanks to our generous sponsors!!
